COVID update

It appears the Murrumbidgee Local Health District has returned to daily COVID updates, reporting statistics for three consecutive days from Friday to Sunday.

Edward River Council has reported a fairly slow rise in confirmed PCR results, with 11 COVID cases on Friday, two on Saturday, and three on Sunday.

NSW Health reports the total number of active cases in Edward River local government area is 49.

There were 68 cases in Murray River LGA on Sunday, 58 on Saturday, and 34 on Sunday.

Murray River had 207 active cases as of yesterday.

Other outbreaks in Albury (1779 total) Griffith (1196) and Wagga Wagga (1217) are the highest in the district.

All numbers are for PCR tests only, and do not include the population reporting positive rapid antigen tests.

To 8pm Sunday night, MLHD reported 571 new cases identified by PCR testing, totalling 6021 active cases.
